Painted Fabric Flashback

I apologize for not blogging these past couple of months. There hasn't been much going on to write about...just to and from work and my beloved snow (with some heavy rain and ice thrown in for good measure). I did receive notice that one of my pieces won a first prize award in the Pen and Brush show in New York. A big deal for me. I'm quite pleased. And in the next couple of weeks, I have to pack up work for the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum's "Sisters in Cloth" and the Wayne Art Center's "Art Quilt Elements 2008".

For now, though...enjoy this painted fabric flashback comprised of yardage from a couple of summers ago. I like remembering where I used some of the fabric.

You are going to be 45 minutes away from me in Philly. Will you be there or just your art?

Congratulations, Sonji. This is wonderful and you are so nonchalant about it. I always love seeing your gorgeous fabric. Have a super week-end.

That last piece-- all cobalt blue and red/orange----- oh, I do LOVE it. I do WANT it.

Weren't you making a bed quilt with all this fabric? But possibly not in this century?

I've been missing YOU!

Made the hub a nice bowl of rice tonight topped with a saute of onion, garlic, mushrooms and tomatoes and then loosened up with cream. He's eating a vegetarian meal and doesn't have a clue. Sh!!!

Big CONGRATS on your award Sonji. I hope it is monetary.

Thanks for these wonderful eye candy. That last piece! I feel like jumping into the centre of it and absorbing the colours in my pores.

You have been missed!

Congrats on the award and the great shows!

Love looking at your fabric. While the last few look micros of some organic something... I could eat the second piece of cloth. Or live in it.
